There are a wide variety of strength training programs available many of which have a high risk of injury and are expensive. At ONE we offer a unique program that utilizes minimal equipment, is highly scalable and promotes long term strength for healthy muscle tissue at a low risk for injury. Perfect for older patrons as well as young we utilize many unique systems such as Indian clubs, maces, kettlebells, and body weight exercises to promote the strengthening of joints and bones as well as muscles. Our program ensures that patrons learn how to use and strengthen their bodies practically to ensure long lasting, injury free lives.

Maces, Kettlebells, Indian Clubs

Practiced for centuries Heavy Maces and Clubs, called Gada and Jori in Hindi, have been used by wrestlers and warriors alike to strengthen arms, shoulders, and core. Perfect for athletes who throw, swing, or grapple training with Maces and Clubs can add a unique addition to your strength and conditioning routine.

Kettlebells, which originally have their origins in Russia as early as the 17th century; now, in more recent times, have become a staple of strength and conditioning. With a diversity of movement patterns and applications Kettlebell training can become a fantastic tool to increase both muscular strength and aerobic capacity simultaneously.

Breath work & Meditation

To most people the word meditation conjures up thoughts of quietly sitting in darkly lit yoga studios or sitting cross legged in serene parks on beautiful sunny days. Sounds so nice… but we want to know…who couldn’t be relaxed in soft light with the smell of incense and essential oils perfuming through the air? How hard is it to be serene sitting in the sunshine on a beautiful day?

What about when it isn’t so peaceful? What about the times when it is loud, and messy and chaotic? Can you be mediative then?

At ONE we approach meditation with a different kind of perspective. We say if you can only be mediative when everything is nice and quiet and calm what good is that going to be for you when all of chaos has broken loose in your life? Alternatively, if you can cultivate meditativeness in you when the phone is ringing off the hook, the kids are screaming, you have a deadline to meet and the supper is on the stovetop then you have really achieved something wonderful. This is the philosophy that drives our breath work and meditation classes. Used in tandem with the Cold Plunge, Strength Training and Sauna our classes train you to be meditative under high stress environments so that when you are in the thick of the chaos you can always respond at the highest levels.

Jiu-Jitsu

Jiu-Jitsu (Japanese for ‘the gentle art’) is a martial art that focuses on self-defense techniques, leverage, and ground fighting (grappling). It's a fantastic way to improve your fitness level, boost your confidence, and learn practical skills for real-life situations.
