The Mill is a compound movement that requires you to first know an outside/ inside circle as well as a shield cast. Knowledge of these two prior to attempting a mill will make it much easier to learn.
The Pendulum is a great hip exercise. It demands multiple planes of motions on the body making it similar to a Kettlebell Clean but done not just with the sagittal plane but also the transverse. Learn the technique and then go heavy with this one. Don’t be surprised with the leg burn. This is a full body movement.
The Barbarian squat is a great beginners move. Not super complicated but a great full body introduction to heavy club swinging.
The Shield Cast is a great movement for shoulders, core and coordination and one of the fundamental swinging movements all humans should master!
The Pull Over is a great movement for triceps and shoulder stability, great for core and will give the feeling of being a lumberjack in a pine grove.
